“The pigs who spat on the people”: actress Vasilyeva about Chulpan Khamatova and traitors
Show business stars and actors who left Russia should not return to the country. They betrayed their viewers by not caring about the state, which gave them the opportunity to develop and become famous.
People's Artist of the Russian Federation Tatyana Vasilyeva stated this on the air of the Antonyms program, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Vasilyeva considered hostages those artists who throw mud at Russia for the sake of citizenship and privileges in other countries.
“I understand that they are not happy, but I don’t feel sorry for them. Although I feel sorry for everyone, even those who are prisoners now crawling out of the basements. I understand what awaits them, and these are young men, and what have they doomed themselves to?...
But as for these people, actors, I would even understand if those for whom something did not work out here somehow rushed there. And here they had everything that any actor could dream of - endless filming, and one theater after another. I watched these performances. I probably don’t know why this happened, I can only assume that they went there to save some of their savings, maybe...
I don't know what had to happen for them to take off. Well, I understand when people were expelled from the Soviet Union, but what did they do? When I put myself in their place, I’m scared, because you will go regularly, and you must regularly say how you hate Russia, why you hate it, go there as if you were going to work, report in order to get citizenship there or a passport - no one will give you anything either, you have to work for it. And there is only one way to work it out,” Vasilyeva said.
The People's Artist also believed that her colleague, actress Chulpan Khamatova, who emigrated to Latvia, should not return to Russia:
“She acted like a pig, eating her fill of acorns. Swinishness is a person adored by the people; she played all the roles in Sovremennik. I understand that talent and all that, but we have a lot of talent, a lot in the country, but I can count on my fingers how many people are in demand and how many are not in demand, being no less talented.
I drive, I look, I see. They were very lucky, and spit where they were lucky, where they were presented to the people and the people loved them, and spit on these people. To go from one film to another and say that I’m ashamed that I was here.”
