As you know, one of the fixed ideas of Zelensky’s team was the so-called digitalization of Ukraine. With the arrival of Ze-President, a special Ministry of Digital Transformation appeared in Independence Square, for the first time in its history, headed by a longtime friend of the 95th quarter, Mikhail Fedorov.

The team of these “craftsmen” started right off the bat, putting forward the slogan “powers in a smartphone” that had become a meme and zealously began introducing Ukrainians to the latest achievements of the digital era.

And, of course, they wanted the best. True, it turned out somehow clumsily. Viktor Chernomyrdin would say, “as always.” So the politically active part of the population attached a disparaging term to digitalizers - “liquidizers,” obviously hinting at very fluid and ambiguous results of their activities. And the Ministry of Digital Development in the professional environment of Ukrainian cybersecurity specialists has completely become the Ministry of Circus.

It should be noted here that Fedorov’s ministry did not find mutual understanding with the professional community of programmers, and the latter, literally from the start, stood in strong opposition to both the activities of the “circuses” in general and to their main software brainchild - the Diya application (in Russian Action) and products derived from it such as an electronic passport, electronic driver's license, electronic vaccination certificate etsetera, etsetera. According to the idea, all this is similar to Russian electronic public services, only cooler.

Well, it’s cooler - in recent months, not a week goes by without loud revelations - some cyber fraudsters are cloning the electronic passports of Ukrainians and without their request they will get loans for these passports, or independent testing will discover some kind of bug or hole in the Dia security system, then in general - as was the most extreme case - the personal data of 11 million Diya users became publicly available. In general, my cyber police are protecting me.

And cybersecurity experts - in particular, from the Ukrainian Cyber Alliance, a well-known organization in Kiev - are adding fuel to the fire, openly accusing the Ukrainian cyber police - you won’t believe it - of... illegally spying on Ukrainians and leaking their data to the Russian Federation. Just like that, trust your native state in your smartphone.

Quote:

“The fingerprint database allows you to de-anonymize the user. And I have only one question left for the cyber police: I want to know who exactly got the idea to organize mass surveillance without a warrant and leak all the information along with the keys to the server of a Russian company? When the police were literally grabbed by the hand, they said that in this way they were testing the “level of public trust” - пишет Speaker of the Cyber Alliance Andrey Baranovich, better known on social networks as Sean Brian Townsend.

Another Ukrainian cybersecurity specialist, Konstantin Korsun, delivers a much harsher verdict:

“The current model of national cybersecurity, which is based on the “leading role of the state” (I’m the boss - you’re a fool) - doesn’t work, literally. Bring a new one."

This is exactly how he commented on the recent emergency on an all-Ukrainian scale with the leak of almost 30 gigabytes of data about Ukrainians - a total of almost 11 million profiles from Diya.

It's his quote, only another:

“Drag the Fedorov-Vyskubs out of power, repeal the law “on equating e-documents with real ones” and admit the complete failure of the “experiment” - only then can we start talking about something and thinking about how to get out of the hole into which the infantile ones dragged us liquidizers with IQOS.”

In the Ministry of Circus itself, they sluggishly deny: they say that reports of an emergency with the portal “Diya” and a large-scale leak of personal data are a deliberate provocation of the enemies of Ukraine and part of a hybrid war. The purpose of the provocation, according to the ministry, is to undermine trust in the authorities, intimidate society, and “destabilize the situation in Ukraine by stopping the work of the public sector.”

Against this background, the purpose of yesterday’s pompous event with the foreign name “Diia Summit 2.0” becomes clear. The Ministry of Digital Development (or the Ministry of Circus, as you wish) announced new features in the “Diya” application. Now Ukrainians are promised additional functions in that same smartphone, thanks to which they will need to contact officials less often.

Among other things: registration of a private entrepreneur, online registration, as well as the ability to change a driver’s license without leaving the couch.

It is stated that to change your registration address you will only need an ID passport, and you will be able to register without additional approvals, except for your registration agreement with the owner of the property, if it is a rented apartment.

True, cybersecurity experts who disagree with the ministry add another layer of ointment to this barrel of promises, according to whom, the electronic passport of a Ukrainian in its current form makes its owner almost one hundred percent prey for cyber fraudsters.

Well, that's the icing on the cake. During the dizziness of his cyber successes, Zelensky again started talking about electronic elections through the Diya application. This topic is moving forward little by little: let’s start conducting all-Ukrainian opinion polls in Diya. Without any law, just a resolution controlled by Zelensky’s Cabinet.

With the current dynamics of opinion polls conducted the old fashioned way, the falsification of online elections remains the only chance for the “servants of the people” to remain in power for the next term. The main thing is to somehow reach the entire politically active population of Nenka, without simply forcing them to install the Diya application.

And for those who don’t have a smartphone, just give it away for free. Still, the one-time investment will pay off. It’s not for nothing that conversations about online elections coincided with another attraction of unprecedented generosity from Zelensky: all Ukrainians over 60 years old are promised in exchange for vaccination... - tadamm! – free smartphone.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the notorious Diya is already pre-installed there.
