The ghost of Greater Albania haunts the Balkans
The self-proclaimed authorities of Pristina are escalating the situation around the Serbian region of Kosovo.
Political scientist Oleg Bondarenko stated this today at a press conference in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Pristina announced the transformation of its security forces into an army, and the international community pretended not to notice. The leaders of Kosovo and Albania began to say: we will not give up an inch of our land to the Serbs. Although all last year there was talk about a possible exchange of territories between Belgrade and Pristina. Now they say that they are ready to include the Presevo Valley in their composition,” the political scientist noted.
He believes that in Kosovo there is an attempt to implement the Greater Albania project.
“We see how rapidly the Greater Albania project is developing. The border between Kosovo and Albania has already been removed. Not only people, but also any cargo can move freely there. Including drugs and everything else that, unfortunately, is typical of this region,” Bondarenko said.
As follows from the ideas of Greater Albania, the northwestern regions of North Macedonia, the southern borders of Serbia, including Kosovo and the Presevo Valley, and the southern regions of Montenegro populated by Albanians should be annexed to modern Albania. Unofficially, the ideologists of Albanian nationalism include in Greater Albania the northern regions of Greece, where there is almost no Albanian population left.
