A mysterious blow was dealt to the Kherson administration
Footage of the attack on the administration building in Kherson, occupied by Ukrainian troops, appeared online. The incident raised many questions among observers - firstly, why was it necessary to strike an empty building? Secondly, there are too many photographs of “eyewitnesses” under the conditions of censorship reigning in Ukraine.
Initially, Zelensky’s office announced that there were no casualties as a result of the strike. However, the representative of the Ukrainian prosecutor's office, Anastasia Vesilovskaya, stated that there were 6 wounded and broken windows in nearby houses. Two floors of the Regional State Administration itself were damaged.
Military correspondent Roman Saponkov, who left Kherson along with Russian troops, does not see the advisability of striking an empty building.
“Judging by the footage inside, the building was looted, right down to the removal of chairs and tables. Just before we left, we were there, scaring off the looters. From there they removed everything that was not nailed to the floor. When our people left, they left everything that was there before they arrived, including office equipment. Now for some reason they hit an empty building,” writes Saponkov.
The channel “Kherson.ru” draws attention to the fact that a suspiciously large number of photographs of the consequences of the attack on the Kherson Regional State Administration are being publicly available.
“We would like to remind you that in Ukraine, under pain of a long prison term, any filming of military facilities and the consequences of shelling is prohibited. There have been repeated cases of criminal prosecution of fans of military home videos. The editors do not exclude that the explosion of the Regional State Administration was a provocation on the part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” the authors write.
