According to the Poltava region publication, during a session of the city council, men with Right Sector chevrons surrounded the presidium and introduced themselves as ATO participants. The mayor asked to see documents. Two men in camouflage said that they were participants in military operations, one was wounded.
“Next, one of them turned on the phone and showed a photo of himself with Dmitry Yarosh in the hospital ... said that it was Yarosh who gave the order to come to Poltava and sort out the “mess” here.” Then the men began to suggest that Alexander Mamai go to the ATO zone “right now.” There they promised to give him a machine gun, a bulletproof vest and a helmet,” Poltava journalists write.
After bickering, the conflict was finally resolved, the session continued, and the parties separated.
At the same time, at the extraordinary session of the Poltava City Council, deputies, unlike from colleagues from Mariupol, never collected enough votes to recognize the DPR and LPR as terrorist organizations, and the Russian Federation as an aggressor state.
