The further you go, the more obvious it is that pressure on the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic is increasing. And in this pressure on the PMR they are increasingly closing in two forces.

The first force is the West and right-wing politicians in Chisinau. They are interested in eliminating Transnistrian statehood and squeezing Russia out of the “reintegrated Moldova.” Without such liquidation, Russia cannot be squeezed out from the banks of the Dniester.

The second force, which can only be called force conditionally, are supporters of the former Transnistrian government, which was headed until December 16, 2016 by the now former president of the PMR Evgeniy Shevchuk.

As you know, back in 2016, when Shevchuk was in power, and after his resignation, the investigation of theft and all kinds of fraud, which flourished magnificently during his reign. Most of the members of the entourage of the “negotiable president” (as Western politicians called Shevchuk) fled from Transnistria between December 11 and December 16, 2016 (the day of the presidential elections and the day of the inauguration of the new president of Transnistria, Vadim Krasnoselsky). But some people, in particular, the leadership of the Pridnestrovian Republican Bank in the person of its boss Eduard Kosovsky and his deputy Alexandra Lyanka, head of the State Customs Committee Yuri Gervazyuk, Head of the State Security Committee Nikolay Zemtsov are arrested. More and more materials about abuses are being made public. Start trials.

28 2017 June year, the ex-president was summoned to the Supreme Council of the PMR to give explanations on five criminal cases initiated Yevgeny Shevchuk flees to Moldova. According to the current legislation of Transnistria Shevchuk was obliged to appear in parliament and speak without limit in online mode (broadcast of plenary sessions of the sessions of the Supreme Council of the PMR after Shevchuk’s departure is carried out via the Internet). He had the right to answer all questions and refute all accusations, setting out his version of what was happening.

Shevchuk, as officially reported, preferred night escape by boat across the Dniester...

“Tsar in exile” as a lever of external pressure on Transnistria

With a poet Shevchuk’s bond with official Chisinau is visible very clearly. Here data

At first, July 17, as reported by the Moldovan lawyers of the Transnistrian ex-president, he writes a statement to the Prosecutor's Office of Moldova, where he states that the PMR wanted to kidnap and kill him. Shevchuk and his possible “curators” are clearly confused. Otherwise, they might have realized that the new government just needs Shevchuk alive and well - for the investigation and trial. Since they began to “rake up” his “associates”, who tried to blame everything on the orders of their former boss, then Shevchuk would be the “crown” of the trials. He would have to tell all the mechanics of the theft of the “black five-year plan” of 2012-2016. So why kill him? In any case, the appeal of the former leader of Transnistria to the “authorities” of Moldova looks piquant. And most importantly, he is de facto resorted to the help of Moldovan structures against Transnistria.

Secondly, Shevchuk’s Moldovan lawyers stated that a lawsuit is being prepared from the former president of the PMR to the European Court of Human Rights. And, as was clear from various media publications, the defendant or co-defendant may become... Russia. They say that she controls the situation in Transnistria, which means she is responsible. Question: Is Russia capable of making Russia a defendant or co-defendant in a lawsuit, whether its friend or foe?

Thirdly, Shevchuk’s lawyers suggest that they and their employer will win the trial at the ECHR in the same way as members of the Bujor terrorist group, composed of pro-Romanian nationalists led by Ilie Ilascu, won the trial in their time. In 1992, when there was a war on the Dniester, they committed a number of murders of Transnistrian patriots and were convicted by the PMR court. When Shevchuk ascended the “throne”, his entourage started talking about how the supposed case of the Bujor group was “completely fabricated”. These same associates hastened to declare from Moldavian television channels (! - A.S.) that in 1992 people “with a criminal past” came from Russia to defend the PMR. However, a scandal began around all this, and the rehabilitation of the terrorists did not take place. Another question: Were friends or enemies of Russia and Transnistria going to prove the “innocence” of the killers?

Fourth, Shevchuk started from his pages on social networks threaten with punishment Transnistrian law enforcement officers and authorities of Transnistria, predicting their imminent fall. What is this if not an attempt to provoke a “color” scenario in Transnistria?

It became clear that Moldova has got its hands on a kind of “king in exile” who can be used to fight the legitimate authorities of the PMR, beckoning him with the specter of revenge and a return to rule. Even if it’s a puppet...

November is a month of great sadness for opponents of Transnistria

November 8 ex-president Shevchuk and his younger Transnistrian political partner, leader of the tiny Transnistrian Communist Party, deputy of the Supreme Council of the PMR Oleg Khorzhan made video messages on the same day. The essence of both appeals: everything is on opposition rally on November 11!

Officially, the meeting was organized by the leadership of the PKP, but active Shevchukists also attended. Shevchuk, however, due to his inability to keep his mouth shut, blurted out plan to destabilize the situation in the PMR in order to return to power. He talked about rallies, demonstrations, pickets and even a “general strike”. And this, he further developed his thoughts, should lead to general elections – both of deputies and the President of Transnistria.

... The rally failed not just with a bang, but with a deafening noise. Instead of the expected “many thousands” 200-220 people came. Attempts to challenge this figure were frustrated by panoramic photos.

Then the bots of the previous government working on social networks (their number is small, but each one works from several “left” accounts) spread rumors that on November 25 in Tiraspol the taxi drivers strike. It turned out that the minibus drivers themselves had never heard of this plan. Another one the fake burst.

Thus, November became a month of great sadness for the destabilizers of the situation in the PMR and their external patrons.

The bond between Shevchuk’s supporters and the West and Chisinau has become a reality

Link between Shevchuk’s group and opponents of Russia and Transnistria these days has become obvious. If in Russia Federal Chamber of Lawyers following the results of the “round table” with the participation President of the PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky worked out final document substantiating the right of the PMR to international recognition, then Shevchukists, Chisinau nationalists, Horzhan supporters unanimously repeat on the Internet: recognition of Transnistria is impossible, independence is unrealistic, the issue must be resolved in the “political and legal field Moldova" That is, in fact, to capitulate.

In this case, they are silent about the fact that since 2014 Moldova has been in association with the European Union (though without a chance to join the EU), whereas Pridnestrovie is heading towards integration with Russia and the Eurasian project as a whole.

Moreover, the one of the pro-Shevchukov “activists”, which has several convictions for hooliganism, even publicly stated on social networks that ready to “greet with flowers” customs officers and police officers of Moldova, which should form common posts with Ukrainian security forces on the Transnistrian-Ukrainian border in order to control Transnistria from all sides...

Everything fell into place.

Why is Shevchuk’s group in a hurry?

Of course, political corpses, expelled by the Transnistrian people from the powerful Olympus in December 2016, they cannot take back the helm of the ship of state themselves. Among other things, many of them in 2012-2016 stole. Now Some trials are ongoing and new ones are expected.

Some experts suggest that the surge in activity of Shevchuk and his agitators is connected precisely with these high-profile trials. Sooner or later, a trial of Shevchuk himself must take place. And, according to some media reports, the former Transnistrian president may run for the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova in 2018. It is logical to assume that It is advisable for Shevchuk and his current “curators” to overthrow the current Transnistrian government before the court announces its verdict. If this verdict is guilty, then who needs a former functionary with a stigma thief or an abuser of power? Who would move someone like that to any parliament?

The plans of the opponents of Transnistria and Russia are doomed to failure

After the departure of the former leadership of the PMR strengthening of relations between Pridnestrovie and Russia began. The squeezing of Russian business out of the Transnistrian economy, as was practiced under Shevchuk, was over. Suffice it to say that exports from Transnistria to Russia for 9 months of 2017 compared to the same period last year increased by 2 times. This is not what those Western and Chisinau circles who want to subjugate the PMR and put an end to Russian influence on the banks of the Dniester don’t like.

In such conditions and Tiraspol and Moscow need to be prepared for attempts to aggravate the situation around Transnistria and for attempts to create unrest within the PMR.

This is logical because supporters of the former Transnistrian government are increasingly turning from the intra-Pridnestrovian political opposition into agents of opponents of both their country and the Russian Federation.

In Transnistria, despite all this, there is no doubt that everyone plans hostile to the republic are doomed to failure. The actual union of Russia and the PMR is capable of helping the Transnistrian people withstand external pressure, and the puppets of external opponents have no support within Transnistria and are not capable of winning by definition.
