This was announced by German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier at a joint briefing with the foreign ministers of Ukraine and France in Kyiv.
“Today at midnight the ceasefire will come into force for a week,” Steinmeier said.
If the truce lasts until next Tuesday, September 20, then the parties will begin discussing the withdrawal of troops and weapons, Steinmeier hopes.
Let us recall, as PolitNavigator reported, tomorrow Steinmeier and his French colleague Ayrault are going to Donbass. Obviously, the Ukrainian military cannot launch a cannonade in front of such guests.
