About it said the head of the cyber police, Sergei Demedyuk.
According to him, criminal proceedings began after an appeal from rights holders participating in the Motion Picture Association of America and a number of Ukrainian rights holders regarding the resource’s violation of copyright and related rights.
fs.to seized equipment and also conducted searches in office premises, data centers and apartments of persons involved in criminal proceedings.
According to police, about 19 people were involved in the creation of the resource. They were the ones who administered, supported and filled the site.
“The examinations confirmed the damage to copyright holders in the amount of about 5 million hryvnia,” notes a message on the National Police website.
Note that the file hosting audience is about one million people.
We also note that the United States provided methodological assistance in creating the Ukrainian cyber police and training its employees.
