The Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko ordered the removal of the victim's lawyer, Renat Kuzmin, from the case of the murder of journalist Oles Buzina.

“In light of the corruption scandal associated with the registration of luxury real estate under dummies, this outstanding legal specialist instructed subordinate prosecutors to remove me, the lawyer of the victim Valentina Pavlovna Buzina, from representing her interests in the case of the murder of her son,” he wrote.

The Prosecutor General, carrying out a deliberately illegal instruction, the procedural head of the case, by his decision, canceled the investigator’s decision to admit the lawyer to the case. The reason was that the victim’s representative, Renat Kuzmin, allegedly did not confirm his identity.
“In other words, when the GPU demands to arrest me for the investigation into Lutsenko’s corruption organized 5 years ago, the prosecutors have no doubt that I am me. And when I demand to identify those responsible for the murder of Oles Buzina and punish the GPU officers for conspiring with the murderers and systematic violation of the rights of the victim, it turns out that my identity has not been established,” Kuzmin noted.
