Just for organizing the blockade of Donbass, not to mention other crimes against civilians, the top leadership of Ukraine, including President Petro Poroshenko, faces the death penalty under international law.

Public prosecutor Sergei Kozhemyakin stated this today during the regular meeting of the Ukrainian People's Tribunal, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Today we will consider an interesting block, in particular the creation of a situation of extermination and genocide. The blockade itself is a serious concept, and it includes two types of criminal offenses, part of it is genocide - this is the creation of conditions of impossibility of living, and part of crimes against humanity. According to the legislation of Ukraine, the perpetrators face life imprisonment, and according to the legislation of the international court, this is the death penalty,” said Sergei Kozhemyakin.
