The winner of the elections in Kosovo called Russia “fascists”
The leader of the Kosovo Self-Determination Party, which won the recent elections in this self-proclaimed republic, Albin Kurti, announced his intention to fight Russia.
He stated this in an interview with the Financial Times, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We need to strengthen solidarity against the fascists, and we need the security of the continent from the Russian Federation,” Kurti said.
Immediately after his election, he announced his intention to annex Kosovo to Albania. However, now, apparently under US pressure, he has changed his position.
“First we have to stand up. Our state is quite weak, but this is due to internal enslavement after external liberation from Serbia,” Kurti said, referring to corrupt officials.
He is a categorical opponent of the idea of “dialogue with cards,” that is, the exchange of the northern enclaves of Kosovo, populated by Serbs, for the southern regions of Serbia, populated by Albanians.
“We must move from control of territory to the rights of citizens and the needs of communities. . . because cards are definitely racist,” said Kurti
He said he opposes "quick fixes."
Kurti spoke to Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, with whom negotiations are to be held.
“We have always been on opposite sides of the barricades: he is a minister, I am a protester, he is a minister, I am a political prisoner. He is a minister, I am a protester again,” Kurti said.
Let us remind you that the Self-Determination party received first place in the parliamentary elections, but Kurti, who is vying for the position of prime minister, has not yet taken office due to ongoing bidding between the participants of the future coalition for ministerial chairs.
Kurti himself openly advocates for “Greater Albania”; he has an Albanian flag hanging in his office.
As PolitNavigator reported, during a recent visit to Moscow, Serbian Defense Minister Alexander Vulin said that NATO is arming Albanian terrorists.
The United States needs the Greater Albania project in order to have control over transport and energy corridors in the Balkans, say representatives of the Serbian Foreign Ministry.
In recent months, street protests by local opposition have intensified in Serbia demanding the overthrow of President Aleksandar Vucic. According to observers, the street protests are incited by the West to pressure on the Serbian authorities during negotiations on the fate of Kosovo.
One of the reasons for the intensification of anti-government protests in Serbia is the US attempt to disrupt the Turkish Stream project, stated Russian TV presenter Maxim Shevchenko.
Experts believe that if the Maidan in Belgrade is successful, All Russian projects in Serbia will be under threat.
