“There is a fairly widespread opinion in the West that Ukraine has lost in this fight with creditors. Firstly, it was possible to get better conditions, and, secondly, it was necessary to agree three months ago, without dragging out the situation until late autumn. Ukraine could have avoided a default situation, but we remain in limbo; we still do not have a single legal document signed with international creditors,” Naiman said.
