Escape from Ukraine: Ukrainians are buying more and more housing in Poland
Last year, Ukrainians purchased a third more houses and apartments in Poland than in 2013, the portal reports Kresy.pl. Only the Germans are ahead of Ukrainians in purchasing Polish real estate. This is direct evidence of a sharp increase in emigration.

Last year, foreigners bought real estate in Poland, the portal reports, with a total area of 170 thousand square meters. 30 sq.m. purchased by German citizens. This is 200% of the total area of real estate sold, and 18% more than a year earlier.
Following the Germans are only the Ukrainians, who bought up real estate with a total area of 24100 square meters. m. Compared to 2013, there has been a significant increase in the purchase of Polish real estate by Ukrainians. It is as much as 30% and equal to 14% of the total area of apartments purchased by foreigners.
This trend is connected, as Polish journalists note, with a sharp increase in Ukrainian labor emigration. Last year, about half of the foreigners who were issued work permits in Poland were citizens of Ukraine.
