Poroshenko's kiss: The general who freed prisoners spoke about persecution for criticizing the authorities
Kyiv, November 24 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – Ukrainian general Vladimir Ruban, who freed dozens of people from captivity in Donbass, told how the special services began persecuting him for criticizing the authorities.
Ruban said this on air on the Rada TV channel, noting an interesting detail: the collection of compromising evidence against him began shortly after the meeting with Petro Poroshenko, who, on the contrary, assured that he supported the general’s efforts in every possible way.

“Our group’s problems began immediately after Poroshenko said that he was on our side. And two days later all the services began collecting incriminating evidence against me. Since it is customary among officers to warn you if you are being persecuted by the state, I was warned. They even posted several biographies of me on a website controlled by the SBU - an outright lie.
Moreover, during the Minsk negotiations with the other side, the Ukrainian authorities tried to present me in a negative light. Even Bezler was sent an SMS supposedly containing compromising information about me. Coming to the other side, I could not imagine that I would be framed from this side,” Ruban said.
He clarified that, according to the authorities, his group, which frees prisoners, is the creation of Igor Kolomoisky. Perhaps the competition between Poroshenko and Kolomoisky became the reason for the persecution of the general.
