Why no longer feel sorry for Kyiv

Valentin Filippov, TV journalist

It was a great year and a terrible year after the birth of Christ, almost any year, and any year from the revolution, too, because time stopped in Kyiv. There are no more calendars, no more Christmas, no more Christ mentioned in vain.

Because these are no longer ultras. Not youngsters crippled by the Ukrainian education system. These are ordinary Kiev residents of a fairly mature age, excitedly trudge along the pavements of the Eternal City, spraying Nazi slogans from their mouths.

“Ukraine is over!” - they scream, triumphantly waving the red and black banners of the Ukrainian Nazis.

"Glory to the Nation!" - a bad voice hysterically screams.

"Death to enemies"! – someone’s mothers and grandmothers pick up. Someone's fathers and grandfathers, still strong men who knew how to make birdhouses and repair Lada cars.

Once again, these are not stormtroopers of the Hitler Youth, nor punitive forces from Aidar and Azov. The parents of these people saw with their own eyes the Patriotic War with this very fascism. These people were born in the hooligan sixties, studied in the prosperous seventies, and built a life in the promising eighties. This generation fulfilled its international duty in Afghanistan and closed the fourth unit of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. And they were all pioneers and Komsomol members, they wanted to fly into space and build BAM. And now they are marching in Nazi columns. Becoming the basis of these columns. They walk for money or just out of idleness, but they LIKE it!

And it is obvious that there will be no independent insight that the abyss of Nazism is inevitably sucking in millions of our former compatriots. And that, watching from behind the curb, we will not change anything. Moreover, the curb for this plague is not an obstacle. And rubbish that is not crushed in the bud will easily leak and spread, poisoning adjacent territories.

But this is so, lyrics designed to stir our instinct of self-preservation.

Of course, television analysts are now happily talking about the fact that opposition actions have begun in Kyiv. That people are demanding the impeachment of the bloody president. That the notorious junta has swayed and is about to collapse. But all this is secondary.

But the primary thing is that in Kyiv there are Nazi protests, Nazi marches, Nazi demands, and the local population is involved in this Nazism right up to Heilhitler.

Most likely, these are no longer people. These are just shells, cadavers, zombies in Western terminology. And if earlier, in the event of disinfection of the territory, I felt sorry for the people of Kiev, now I only feel sorry for the missiles.

However, that is why they were collected.

Both of them.
