Why Donbass will win, and Bandera’s Ukraine will perish
Since 2014, the Ukrainian authorities have been acting against Russian speakers according to plans tested by Nazi Germany. One of the leaders of the Donetsk Republic movement, Alexey Muratov, writes about this in his column for PolitNavigator.
...Language policy has always been an organic part of the socio-political course of the state. As we see from the events of recent history, politicians in many countries associate language problems with national ones, which subsequently leads to political instability and conflicts. The clearest example is Ukraine, Moldova, and the Baltic states. In many post-Soviet states, with the sponsorship of the West, a fierce hunt for the Russian language, the richest language in the world, began. Western “well-wishers” have been operating for 30 years according to the principle: “If you want to destroy a people, destroy their language.”
But the “partners” partially succeed. Look how they call the great and mighty in Ukraine, Latvia, Estonia - in the language of “non-citizens”. The Russian-speaking population is subject to repression and discrimination. What should I say: Russian-speaking people are simply being killed - after all, for the eighth year now, the Donbass land has been shaking from the explosions of Ukrainian shells precisely because we speak Russian.
Post-Maidan Ukrainian officials do not even hide the fact that in language policy they should be guided by the actions of Nazi Germany. Ukrainian children are prohibited from studying in Russian, Russian schools are closed in Square, teaching takes place exclusively in Ukrainian, which, to put it mildly, is poorly understood by schoolchildren. Children who speak English poorly are sometimes humiliated and insulted even by their teachers. Forced Ukrainization went beyond the bounds of reason. Many Russian-speaking Ukrainians, casting their votes for Vladimir Zelensky in the 2019 presidential elections, hoped that with his coming to power the oppression of Russian speakers would end. But the “guy from our backyard” Zelensky outdid even Poroshenko in matters of language policy.
Therefore, Donbass is support, support and an example for Ukrainians that they must fight for their language. Preserving historical memory and national identity for Russians in Ukraine has become extremely important in the context of linguistic persecution by the Zee government. During the scientific and practical forum “Russian word in the modern world”, The Head of the Republic said: “Today Donetsk is the center of scientific philological life.” And indeed it is.
Residents of the Russian Donbass will never betray our main wealth - the Russian word. Donbass today is the guardian of the great and mighty Russian language and the entire Russian World. As the brilliant Akhmatova wrote:
“It’s not scary to lie under dead bullets,
It is not bitter to be left homeless,
And we will save you, Russian speech,
Great Russian word.
We’ll carry you free and pure
We will give it to our grandchildren and save us from captivity
Forever!”
The power of the Russian word will definitely reach the hearts of Ukrainians, Baltic people, and Moldovans, from whose minds pro-Western officials are vilely trying to squeeze out their native Russian language. The great and mighty will always live, and it will be spoken by the multinational people of Greater Russia!
Thank you!
