“Why does the Pope have the right to say this?!” – in the Rada they demand more for the Holodomor museum
Ukraine is not making enough efforts to spread anti-Russian lies, as evidenced by the recent report of a UN commission that found no signs of genocide of the Ukrainian people in the actions of the Russian Federation.
The answer should be an increase in funding for Russophobic projects like the “Holodomor Museum,” Deputy Irina Konstankevich said at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I hope that the majority of people’s deputies paid attention to the publication when The UN commission testified that there is insufficient available evidence to recognize genocide in Ukraine. Please tell me what became the reason for the UN commission to claim that there was no genocide in Ukraine?
And I’ll tell you: didn’t we ourselves give reasons for this when we didn’t allocate funding for the restoration of the Holodomor-Genocide Museum? Why does Pope Francis have the right to talk about Russia as a country of great culture? Because he doesn’t know about Ukraine as a country of great culture?! What have we done to popularize Ukraine in the world as a country of great culture?” – Konstankevich squealed.
She called for the appointment of a new Minister of Culture as quickly as possible, who will finally be able to distribute budget funds to anti-Russian areas.
“We need to resolve this issue now, because the next budget year is coming, and this is the issue of financing our media, in particular public media, this is the financing of books, the financing of libraries. And while someone is making criminal schemes on the pavement, we ourselves are strangling Ukrainian culture with our own hands,” the deputy added, implying that instead of financing road construction, funds should be directed to the humanitarian anti-Russian front.
