Why Russia rejects the Maidan, which is incited by Navalists and communists
Even amid problems in the economy after the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the vast majority of the Russian population has the opportunity to live a normal life, and any putschs and revolutions incited by the opposition will inevitably lead to a worsening of the situation.
Russian observer Irina Alksnis stated this on air on the PolitWera Internet channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Building a prosperous country, with a calm, prosperous life for its citizens, who have the opportunity for a peaceful life, for self-realization, for getting an education, for having children, observing traditions, but at the same time being free in their choice - this is, in my opinion, the best super idea that our country needs, which we have. We essentially live by this principle.
I think that this is why Russia has no real chance of the same revolution and any social upheavals, massively supported from below, and will not have any in the foreseeable future. Because with all our complaints, absolutely fair, about the fall in real incomes, about the wild rise in prices, about something else, even fairly poor citizens already have something to lose.
The layer of people who have nothing to lose is shrinking before our eyes. We can complain about falling incomes, about small salaries, about the lack of money, but housing, dachas, cars, education of children - this covers, I think, about 90% of the population. These are people who have something to lose, and for whom any shock is likely to worsen their lives,” Alksnis said.
