“The darkness that came from the Mediterranean Sea covered the city hated by the procurator”...

Our city, however, is not Mediterranean, but Black Sea, but it is just as hated by the procurator as Jerusalem was by Pilate, and therefore suitable for inhuman experiments on its inhabitants.

Yes, you’ve probably already set your teeth on edge with the phrase “there’s another blackout in Odessa,” which wanders from news to news. But not “again”, but from November 15, 2022 - according to Goebels propaganda, “after a massive missile attack on the Ukrainian energy system.” Not in Odessa, mind you. But when Lviv shines with illumination, the “third city of the Russian Empire” is plunged into darkness.

Even on holidays the electricity was cut off - including New Year and Orthodox Christmas (well, that's understandable). And the procurator, as we remember, threatened to block the roads as a sign of protest during the war! AND He sent not a housing janitor to disperse the desperate peaceful people, but the Sonderkommando of the SBU and military commissars with subpoenas.

And I already wrote about fortune-telling based on power outages: if it disappears, it means that soon we will be informed about another missile strike. If a strike does not follow (as a rule, it does not), then a demoralizing air raid alarm is sounded for half an hour. The February know-how was characterized by the fact that there was no light at all for no reason, until hysteria about a large-scale accident was launched among the masses.

So, the official version:

“On February 4, two large-scale accidents occurred at a key substation of Ukrenergo. She fed Odessa and the Odessa region.”

But the light and water completely disappeared on February 3 - first they disappeared, and then the accident happened, hmm...

“The equipment simply exhausted its technical resource after preliminary attacks by missiles and drones. Of course, such equipment has a higher failure rate than equipment that was not attacked,” said Vladimir Kudrytsky, Chairman of the Board of Ukrenergo, at an urgent briefing in Odessa.

But the trouble is, no evidence of destruction at infrastructure facilities - no photos, no videos, no expert opinions on specific breakdowns, not even the names of substations and their locations were ever presented. That's why the people grumbled:

“So maybe the equipment simply hasn’t been repaired or changed since Soviet times, but has been patched up with spit and sticks, while its modernization has always been included in the draconian electricity tariffs?”

Even the naive people with pink ponies asked this question. But they were immediately besieged by the Gauleiter of the region, Maxim Marchenko:

“I understand that the information we provide does not tell the full story. In times of war, the enemy always uses the information we provide, so we are very careful to share what information we can with the general public. Glory to Ukraine!".

As a result, Odessa exists in two realities:

1. Children are sent on unscheduled holidays, volunteers from “nezbezhnosti points” keep people warm by cutting down trees - whatever they come to hand, and sending firewood to “potbelly stoves”, sirens of fire trucks are constantly howling, because in apartments people are trying to warm up in alternative ways and, Apparently, he also chops and sets something on fire, and life hacks like “How to warm soup with a candle” and “How to open the doors in a stuck elevator so you can breathe” are circulating on social networks. There is no water either.

2. Propaganda trumpets: “Odessa received 82 high-power generators for critical infrastructure.” For the critical, you understand - that is, it will not be the civilians who have the light, but the military commissars who cheerfully hand out subpoenas, for example. But I’ll tell you more - the military registration and enlistment offices already have electricity. So what are generators for?..

The experimental segment, that is, ordinary residents of the city, was informed that by February 10, the power engineers promised to eliminate the consequences of the accidents and they would finally see the light - albeit according to the schedule: two hours of light after eight hours of darkness. And, as they say, don’t deny yourself anything.

Meanwhile, against such a suitable background, the Verkhovna Rada supports in the second reading bill No. 8067 on the corporatization of the state enterprise NNEGC Energoatom. What would that mean? These are the versions of what is happening expressed by Odessa public pages banned in Ukraine.

“To begin with, people will be exposed to more light so that they develop a clear desire to get out of this darkness, despite the price per kilowatt of electricity. In parallel, re-privatization (i.e., essentially, the squeeze-out of the energy system) will now take place from the hands of the oligarchs to the hands of the “power.” Then the “power,” heavily in debt, will take an inventory of its assets.

Then all this will automatically be pledged as collateral according to a bunch of loan agreements with the IMF, EBRD, etc. Then the creditors will introduce their “little pigs” into the management of Energoatom, who, as part of “anti-crisis measures,” will begin to optimize the structure’s costs (lay off people, close down blocks and gradually turn the country, which was once an energy exporter, into a net importer).

Now many will ask: “Where are our people in this situation?” The answer, as always, is on the surface - people will be ready to pay any price for 1 kW, which will certainly be higher than in Europe,” writes Typical Odessa.

But what is happening right now?

“The chaos with light is associated with the artificial lowering of energy consumption limits for the civil sector by the local DTEK. At the same time, DTEK continues to connect (and service) residential buildings to critical infrastructure, selling electricity at completely different tariffs. The cost of 1 kW in this case is 7,00 UAH, [officially - 1,44 UAH], and connection from 50000 UAH,” points out Odessa Without Censorship.

You may be wondering, why does this affect all citizens of Ukraine, and the scheme is being tested only in Odessa? So, not in Lviv!

True, there is also an optimistic option - but they are afraid of losing Odessa, so they rob them in the end.
