Why Zelensky turned out to be so weak
In contrast to the speeches within the 95th Quarter, the appearance of Vladimir Zelensky on political television so far looks frankly weak, but there is an explanation for this, Ukrainian political scientist Yuriy Romanenko argues in his blog.
“Many people wonder why Zelensky is so weak in public discussion and so witty in the “95th Quarter” sketches. You forget that sketches are prepared by dozens, or even hundreds of people. Dozens of writers sit and write scripts, because on stage Zelensky has a situation where it is initially controlled - both by himself and by his own team.
In the public field, he goes out without the necessary knowledge and experience, and at the same time he encounters professionals who easily catch him in inconsistencies, and he still cannot take a full picture, because he simply does not have it yet. That’s why Zelensky looks so insecure and even pathetic at some moments.
Therefore, for him, the best scenario for the elections is not to crawl out to the debates at all, he dropped the series and went abroad. They will vote for him not because he knows anything, but out of spite for all the old people, and for these voters it is not particularly important what he says there.
On the contrary, when the gunpowder bots furiously attack Zelensky’s electorate, calling him “vapor” or some kind of “intellectually pathetic,” they only strengthen him in the idea that he needs to vote for Ze in order to kick the ass of “all these arrogant people.”
Strictly speaking, bad elitism in this case serves a disservice, since for a huge mass of the population, belonging to the elite is a red rag. Which shakes Ze and captivates those who are dissatisfied,” says Romanenko.
