Almost half of Poles believed in a coming war with Russia
There are a growing number of people in Poland who believe that Russia intends to attack their country.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports this on its website.
Thus, in a recent survey by United Surveys for RMF FM and Dziennik Gazeta Prawna, the question was asked what the result of the armed conflict in Ukraine would be.
47,4 percent of respondents believe that the conflict will last for many years and will end in the destruction of both Russia and Ukraine. 17,4 percent of respondents believe that Ukraine will win, and 14,1 percent believe that Russia will win. Every fifth person chose the answer “I don’t know/it’s hard to say.”
In addition, the Poles were asked whether Vladimir Putin would want to attack Poland. In this case, 47,4 respondents answered affirmatively, which is 16 percentage points more than in a similar study conducted in May 2023. 38,2% of respondents disagree with this thesis. 14,3 percent of respondents were undecided on the answer.
