Almost half of Russians believe in “good Trump”
Almost half (48%) of participants in the latest VTsIOM survey expect that a personal conversation between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin will benefit Russia, only 1% speak about negative results, and another 38% believe that nothing will change.
48% also predict an improvement in bilateral relations as a whole, 2% predict a deterioration, and 41% do not expect any changes.

74% of respondents gave a negative description of the current relations between the United States and Russia, 22% - a positive one, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Russians also began to sympathize with the American president personally more: the share of positive responses increased in July to 27% (from 13% in April), and negative responses, accordingly, decreased to 22% (from 39%), while 40% said they were indifferent.
The initiative all-Russian survey “VTsIOM-Sputnik” was conducted on July 9-10, 2017. Russians aged 18 years and older took part in the survey. The survey method is a telephone interview using a stratified two-base random sample of landline and mobile numbers of 1200 respondents.
