The artillery battle continues near Debaltsevo, equipment is being moved

Ukrainian troops that attempted a breakthrough in the Debaltseve area were driven back with heavy losses. There are also dead among the soldiers of the LDPR army. A fierce artillery duel is currently ongoing, but the situation is generally under control. The Ukrainian group at the front continues to disintegrate. Valentin Filippov:  Greetings, Anatoly. As I understand it, all the military were pulled out of their vacation on Sunday.

Anatoly Gelyukh: Well, basically, yes. Now the situation seems to be stable. But the tension remains.

Valentin Filippov: So, the Ukrainian breakthrough failed at Debaltseve?   

Anatoly Gelyukh: The 54th brigade tried to make a breakthrough with the forces of a battalion tactical group in the area of ​​​​the settlement of Kalinovka. They suffered losses of up to 30 people killed and wounded. And we lost two or three pieces of equipment. They crawled back to their original positions and continue shelling the positions of the LPR armed forces.

Now our advanced detachments are observing the movement of Ukrainian equipment southwest of the previous breakthrough point. Fighting in this area continues.

Valentin Filippov: This “movement of equipment” is evidence that, perhaps, in some new place they will try to break through the defenses of the republics? 

Anatoly Gelyukh: Either this is preparation in case of a counterattack from the LPR, or an attempt to level out. It's unlikely that it will happen anymore (new breakthrough attempt) - after they got burned, they will not go on the offensive again today.

Valentin Filippov: Now they like to ask about prisoners. They are?

Anatoly Gelyukh: Two people from our side have gone missing.

Valentin Filippov: And of their losses? Are there any wounded left for us?                         

Anatoly Gelyukh: Not known yet. Not everything has calmed down there yet. There is no clear boundary between them and us.

Valentin Filippov: As far as I remember, Debaltsevo is administratively controlled from Donetsk, and the military leadership there is from Lugansk?                        

Anatoly Gelyukh: Let’s just say that in this area there is a zone of delimitation of responsibility between the armed forces of the DPR and LPR. To the southwest are our positions, to the northeast are the positions of the LPR.

Valentin Filippov: But, are we acting in concert? Everything's okay, right?                         

Anatoly Gelyukh: Well, yes.

Valentin Filippov: Tell me, is the attempt to attack by the Ukrainian side somehow recorded by the OSCE? Have they been notified?                         

Anatoly Gelyukh: It is a fact that the OSCE has been informed by both the Lugansk People’s Republic and the Donetsk People’s Republic. To what extent they took this into account, to what extent these blind people began to see clearly, is not yet known at the moment. Their report will show this.

Valentin Filippov: Ukraine then likes to say, “well, we can’t negotiate further because there’s trouble at the front.” Without going into details, whose fault is it not calm.                           

Anatoly Gelyukh: It was not the Nazi battalions that went on the offensive. This is the 54th brigade, which is 100% subordinate to Kyiv. There were no uncoordinated actions there.

Valentin Filippov: Maybe they were drunk?                         

Anatoly Gelyukh: Of course, they will claim that “there were violations on the part of the Donetsk terrorists, blah blah blah.” This will definitely be the case.

Now a new circus is expected there. Battalions that want to have their share of the smuggling that takes place from the territory of the Republics and from the territory of Ukraine, this smuggling on their part is controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the SBU. But the battalions moved away from this topic. They recently made a statement that if we do not give up all the Ukrop prisoners of war in the coming days, they will allegedly strengthen the blockade. In fact, they are going to set up spontaneous checkpoints in places where smuggling occurs. And get some money from it.

I’m really looking forward to them doing this, I want to see how Ukrainian troops will destroy them in these places. They get in the way.

Valentin Filippov:  Well, yes. This is not for the Motherland, this is for money. It's worth fighting for.                        

Anatoly Gelyukh: For almost a month now there has been a war between the Right Sector and the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Marinka area. In Marinka itself there is such a “Sausage House”. This is a front line position. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are standing there. They control smuggling there. And a detachment of “Right Sectors” was placed behind them. And our positions observe every night battles between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Right Sectors. There are bloody battles going on there. On the APU side, the BMP is used. The “Pravoseks” are very afraid; they have no equipment. All in all, a funny picture.

Now this will happen in other places. In general, we are happy for them. Let them destroy each other.

This time, of course, they climbed in, there are losses among ours too... That is OK…

Valentin Filippov: Okay, Anatoly. As I understand it, the breakthrough failed. Everything has settled down...                         

Anatoly Gelyukh: It can be argued that they crawled back to their positions, they were repulsed, they suffered losses. Also, there are losses among ours. There is an artillery battle going on. There is very serious shelling there. The answer is also accordingly. Movement of equipment is observed southwest of the breakthrough point. This is the fact.

Well, let’s see there. There are drones circling there. In general, it's not over yet.

Valentin Filippov: There are rumors that Ukraine has allegedly begun to use helicopters. Or are these just rumors?                         

Anatoly Gelyukh: They use helicopters all the time. We are watching them.

Valentin Filippov: Is it used for cargo purposes?                         

Anatoly Gelyukh: For reconnaissance purposes. Mostly there is reconnaissance. A helicopter appears in a certain sector, scans this sector with radar, then appears in a neighboring sector. This is reconnaissance underway.

Valentin Filippov: OK. Good luck to you. Let everyone be alive. And the helicopters need to be shot down.                         

Anatoly Gelyukh: I think they somehow fall on their own.

Valentin Filippov: The fuel is incorrect.                         

Anatoly Gelyukh: They shoot on their own. They are all sad. Ukrainians shoot on their own. There is no fire from our side. Something like this.
