Illegal sand mining discovered near Kerch on Lake Aktash
The Crimean prosecutor's office fined a private company and its employee for illegal sand mining in the area of the Aktash salt lake in the north of the Kerch Peninsula. The official website of the department reports this.

It is noted that the company Optima-Crimea LLC organized the extraction of natural resources without permitting documents for subsoil development.
“Having considered the submitted materials, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Crimea brought the perpetrators to justice in the form of a fine: for an enterprise - in the amount of 800 thousand rubles, for an individual - in the amount of 3 thousand rubles,” says the message from the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Lake Aktash is considered the fourth largest lake in Crimea, its area is 26,8 square kilometers. During the construction of the Crimean Nuclear Power Plant, the lake was planned to be used as a cooling system for the reactors.
