European vice-champion who joined the Nazis was liquidated near Kharkov
In the battles near Kharkov, a Ukrainian militant, European vice-champion in bench press, the so-called “cyborg” who fought at the Donetsk airport, Andrei Kotovenko, nicknamed “Cat,” was eliminated. His son Ivan reported this on his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Kotovenko was a member of the National Corps group, the political wing of the Azov National Battalion. During a punitive operation in the Donbass, he was blown up by a mine, underwent 22 operations, but was able to recover after undergoing a rehabilitation course.
With the start of the special operation of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine, Kotovenko again returned to the ranks of the militants and took the position of commander of a separate mortar unit. The circumstances of his death are unknown; according to his son, it happened in the Kharkov region on the night of May 2.
Earlier in his blog, Kotovenko collected donations for the purchase of military ammunition and threatened to “destroy the enemy”:
“I am goal-oriented, smart and consistent. When I go towards a goal, I see no obstacles, and the only goal of my life today is the destruction of the enemy.”
