About it Deputy Head of the National Police of Ukraine Vadim Troyan said on Facebook.
“All seized items will undergo an examination so that the owners and managers of this arsenal do not have the opportunity to avoid responsibility, they say, these are not combat-ready models and dummies. Indeed, some copies have such marks, but we will look into this in detail,” Troyan wrote.
He also compared the owner of an ammunition depot to a character in the movie “Baron of Arms.”
“I don’t know what this man’s goal is, but hiding such an arsenal under one’s own houses is too much... I myself am a former military man, I fought, of course, I saw and used a lot of all kinds of weapons, and we had to confiscate a lot, but even from what I saw, they got into trouble,” Troyan said.
Let us remind you that yesterday the capital’s prosecutor’s office together with the National Police discovered an underground storage facility with a large amount of weapons and ammunition near Kiev. In a bunker in the Boryspil region, law enforcement officers found items similar to 60 rockets for Grad launchers, two shells for an infantry fighting vehicle, four ammunition for a man-portable anti-aircraft missile system, 200 anti-tank mines, mounted and hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers, and armor-piercing shells. There was also an armored personnel carrier in the room. After the searches are completed, the items will be sent for examination, and the origin of the arsenal will be established.
