At the end of Poroshenko’s reign, money was again allocated for Yatsenyuk’s “Wall”
In April 2019, the private company Stroytsentr Vityaz LLC received 20 million hryvnia in advance from the State Treasury account for continuing work on the construction of a canal wall on the border with the Russian Federation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This is reported with reference to the official portal for the use of public finance anti-corruption project "Marlin".
Thus, since 2015, Stroytsentr Vityaz has been one of the general contractors for the construction of fortifications on the border. Back in 2017, the director and founder of this company, Agaverdi Adilov, was suspected by NABU of embezzlement of property on an especially large scale and forgery of documents.
According to journalists from Slidstvo.Info, during the entire construction of the “wall,” Stroytsentr Vityaz received more than 135 million hryvnia from the State Border Service.
Former Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk has personally campaigned for the construction of a fence on the border with Russia since 2014.
As the State Border Service reported on April 9, 1,3 billion hryvnia have already been spent on “Yatsenyuk’s wall.”
At the same time, the State Border Service of Ukraine refuses to publish contracts for the construction of fortifications within the framework of the Yatsenyuk Wall project during 2015-2018, citing state secrets.
The State Budget for 2019 under the budget program “Measures for engineering and technical arrangement of the border” includes general fund expenses in the amount of UAH 400 million.
Last year, UAH 500 million was spent under this program.
