Near Lugansk, locals beat up a Ukrainian soldier
A serviceman from one of the brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, stationed in the combat zone on the outskirts of the LPR, was taken to a medical facility with numerous injuries after a fight between the Ukrainian military and local residents.
This was announced by Ivan Filiponenko, an officer of the press service of the People's Militia of the LPR, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to his information, on the evening of September 21, servicemen of the 10th motorized infantry battalion of the 59th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, after drinking alcoholic beverages, voluntarily left the territory of the unit and continued drinking near the nearest store in the village of Mironovsky.
“Near the trading point, a conflict occurred between the “defenders of Square” and local residents, as a result of which one of the militants was taken to the hospital with multiple hematomas and broken ribs. The remaining participants in the conflict were detained by police and transferred to the Military Law Enforcement Service,” said Ivan Filiponenko.
The representative of the defense department added that the acting brigade commander Valery Kashshishin is currently conducting an investigation into this fact, trying to shift responsibility for the incident to the local population.
