According to the military, there is a battle in the area of one of the checkpoints in the village of Talakovka. Heavy artillery is at work. Information was also received about a shootout at a checkpoint in the Vostochny microdistrict and shooting in the area of the Donetsk highway - residents of the villages of Zarya and Kalchik heard it.
According to official data from the headquarters of the territorial defense of Mariupol, checkpoints in the villages of Talakovka, Sartana and in the Vostochny microdistrict came under fire. Local residents report shelling from Grads, but the headquarters confirms only mortar shelling.
According to the village head of Sartana, Stepan Makhsma, this village is quiet, and no one is firing at the checkpoint installed next to it. “The fighting is taking place in Talakovka,” the village mayor emphasized. – But the volleys are heard very loudly. Residents are taking their children from schools and kindergartens.” The Talakovsky village council confirmed that at 11:30 the shelling of the checkpoint began. As a result of the battle, the gas pipeline was damaged. At 12:30 the volleys died down. Now there is a calm in the village - residents have come out of hiding and are inspecting houses.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier the new chairman of the Donetsk regional state administration, Alexander Kikhtenko, said that he intends to move the Regional State Administration from Mariupol to Kramatorsk.
