This was reported on the official WarGonzo channel on the Telegram social network, citing a source in the law enforcement agencies of Mariupol, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost a tank in a skirmish with terbats. Law enforcement agencies of Ukraine have begun an investigation into this incident. The bigwigs in Kyiv are keeping the case under control. How is this known? Insider information from Mariupol. There are good people there too. They are closely monitoring the intensifying confrontation between the Terbats and the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” the statement said.
The report also notes that on the eve of the hot phase of the Mikhomaidan, the Ukrainian military, who are in positions in the Shyrokino area, staged a boycott of their superiors due to untimely rotation. Nationalists from the Azov battalion were sent to this area, who were supposed to suppress the uprising, which, in turn, led to a clash.
As a result of a firefight between the advanced units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the nationalist battalion, it was possible to disable the Ukrainian Armed Forces tank deployed in their direction. The radicals also destroyed two Urals and one armored personnel carrier (APC). It is noted that about 20 Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers were injured of varying degrees of severity.
