“Two of the fighters blocked near Mukachevo voluntarily surrendered and laid down their arms.
They testify and help negotiate with the remaining twelve guys who remain blocked by ATC forces in order to urge them to voluntarily lay down their arms and give them the opportunity to conduct an open and fair investigation into yesterday's tragedy in Mukachevo.
All of Ukraine hopes for a peaceful and legal resolution of the Mukachevo tragedy,” Gerashchenko wrote.
“I just spoke with people’s deputy Yegor Firsov. He proposed creating a temporary investigative commission of the Verkhovna Rada for a public investigation of the situation in Mukachevo. I think this is a reasonable and correct decision. Society must know the truth!” – the deputy added.
In turn, the head of the SBU ATC Vitaly Malikov said that “as a result of the coordinated actions of Alpha, two Right Sector fighters were sent to the hospital... The situation remains tense.”
At the same time, it is not known whether Malikov was talking about those militants who, according to Gerashchenko, themselves surrendered, or whether they were other terrorists.
