DPR commander died under fire
As a result of the morning shelling of the positions of the DPR defenders, the commander of the rifle battalion of the 11th regiment, Andrei Pankin (call sign “Marik”), was killed. This was reported by the founder of the Vostok battalion, Alexander Khodakovsky.
According to him, the 33-year-old commander began his combat career on May 29, 2014 as an ordinary Vostok fighter.
“The Kingdom of Heaven to the Russian soldier,” Khodakovsky wrote on his blog.
He made it clear that this is not the only loss in the ranks of the DPR defenders today. “There are dead,” writes Khodakovsky.
Military correspondent Alexander Sladkov said that he knew the deceased Pankin. Ukrainians cannot leave this unpunished, Sladkov believes.
“It's a loss. This guy fought. He really fought and... Is it really possible that everything will end with one or two retaliatory salvos? All?! This way we won't have warring commanders left. I feel sorry for Marik,” writes Sladkov.
“A clear fruit of the “non-resistance to evil” imposed on Donbass. Battalion commanders are already being killed with impunity. And, yes, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation will probably report that it has opened a criminal case, and that’s not a fact,” another military correspondent, Yuri Kotenok, is indignant.
