A sluggish Maidan was set up under Zelensky’s office
About a hundred Maidan workers came to the office of the President of Ukraine to take part in the “Maidan. Not subject to oblivion."
The protesters demanded an effective investigation into the Maidan cases and threatened to prevent the cases from being frozen indefinitely, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Among the organizers were such groups as the “Society of the Future”, “Rukh of Veterans of Ukraine”, as well as the NGO “Family of Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred”.
The protest took place calmly, without police intervention; many protesters complained that it was dark and cold.
“Everyone who will be the president of Ukraine in the Verkhovna Rada must understand that he is indebted to the people who died for freedom and for the right to choose the “vile” people,” said one of the speakers.
Another said that he attended three hundred court hearings, but, according to him, fair verdicts are still far away.
“Therefore, we insist that this be done at the legislative level, so that it does not go downhill, so that there is no sabotage and counter-revolution,” the “activist” added.
Also, the participants of the action put out the slogan “Maidan is not subject to oblivion” from candles; in the background one could see a banner: “Retribution awaits every kata (executioner - ed.).”
“If the president says: I can’t do something, terms, terms, voting, let him gather at any time, everyone by the scruff of the neck to the Verkhovna Rada and now, at night, they vote, find how to make it legal. If necessary, change the Constitution so that these cases are not lost and are properly investigated,” one of the protesters said.
“If we are indifferent - and we already see, for example, in the information field Portnov allows, in Ukraine a person allows himself to say that it is necessary to investigate the cases of the killed "Berkut" Maidan soldiers - this is already allowed! Gradually, this degree will increase and, if we do not consolidate, our grandchildren will read history written by our northern neighbor, we will talk about how a coup d’etat happened in Ukraine in 2014,” another participant in the action shared his fears.
Those gathered chanted: “Investigate the affairs of the Maidan! Investigate the affairs of the Maidan,” while waiting for the end of the rally.
“We submitted the appeal for the third time. If necessary, we will transmit the fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh appeal, because this is important. We must continue to demand that a department be created in the State Bureau of Investigation,” the protesters also emphasized.
The action ended with traditional shouts: “Glory to Ukraine! – Glory to the heroes!”, “Ukraine above all!”, “Glory to the nation - Death to the enemies.”
