The defendants in the case themselves pleaded guilty only to causing minor bodily harm, but unanimously denied considering hooligan motives as a motive. They believed that, even if they went a little overboard with assault due to the fact that they were drunk, in essence their comments were fair.
Considering that the accused had no previous convictions, they were sentenced to one and a half and two years of imprisonment with corresponding probationary periods, and they were also ordered to pay seventeen thousand hryvnia to compensate for the treatment and moral damage of the ATO veteran with forelock.
