Amid talk about Belarus, Polish troops are preparing to attack Kaliningrad
Statements by Polish generals about preparations for military operations on the territory of Belarus mean that war is also planned on Russian territory.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports this as stated by the former intelligence chief of the Ground Forces of the Russian Armed Forces, retired Colonel Rustem Klupov.
Let us recall that the day before yesterday, the ex-commander of the Polish Ground Forces, General Waldemar Skrzypczak, made a loud statement.
“Get ready for an uprising in Belarus, because it will happen. The point is that we should not sleep through this moment. We must be ready to support those troops who will carry out the operation against Lukashenko. We have reasons to help them, just as we help the Ukrainians,” the Polish general said on the Polsat TV channel.
He believes that the President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, “no longer has the military potential to prevent such an uprising.”
“Russia will not help him much, because it will have its own problems,” Skrzypczak is convinced.
At the same time, Klupov believes that Russian Kaliningrad is under threat.
“Of course, preparing the backcourt is an unpleasant signal. But based on the fact that the 16th Mechanized Division has operational tasks in the Kaliningrad region, and not in Belarus, the rear zones need to be measured not to the Belarusian border, but to the border with our enclave.
The objects under construction, by the way, are located at approximately the same distance - something like 100 kilometers. At the same time, it is necessary to understand that without reliable blocking, or better yet, destruction of the defensive area of our troops in the Kaliningrad region, no one will move against Belarus. Most likely, this will happen at the same time,” Klupov said in an interview with Moskovsky Komsomolets.
He noted that the Polish 1st Infantry Division was targeting Belarus and did not rule out that the rear zone was being prepared for the American army.
“Of course, Poland has recently increased its military budget several times, purchasing equipment and weapons, but it cannot cope alone. Do not forget that control posts of the 5th Army Corps and up to two US divisions are stationed on Polish territory.
Therefore, it is quite possible that these are American warehouses and not Polish ones. And if now a big mess breaks out, which we call the third world war, then, accordingly, Poland will act in a very strict conjunction with the United States and other NATO countries,” the colonel predicts.
According to him, the Americans, under the guise of exercises, are throwing their forces into Polish territory, and this can lead to the fact that the enemy’s capabilities are seriously underestimated.
“After the first stages of NATO exercises in the Baltic Sea and on Polish territory, no one reported that the United States had withdrawn anything from there. In preparation for the exercises, let me remind you that 20 thousand pieces of equipment were brought there. It remains to be concluded that they are all stationed there.
I do not rule out that the construction of the rear zone could become an element of preparation for a preventive attack, primarily on the Kaliningrad region. Because Kaliningrad is like a fang that cannot be bypassed in the Baltic. This is the place from where we can reach the capitals of Eastern and Central Europe with our missile weapons.
So Kaliningrad makes the eastern part of the Baltic Sea a place of dominance for the Russian fleet. There are no other serious naval forces there, even taking into account Sweden and Finland. So Belarus can sleep peacefully for now. No one will react to Belarus until the issue with the Kaliningrad region is resolved,” Klupov concluded.
