Deputy of the People's Council of the DPR Olga Makeeva stated this on air on the Union TV channel.
“From the point of view of a lawyer, a legislator, this is not a law, frankly speaking. This is an opus filled with pompous slogans, statements, some kind of formulations, which has nothing to do with the law - a document that is designed to establish goals and objectives, describe mechanisms, improve some norm that concerns one or another area of activity in the country,” – Makeeva noted, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the deputy, the adoption of the scandalous law and the holding of the Davos Economic Forum are not just a coincidence.
“This is another standard situation for Ukraine, when on the eve of some important international meeting the Ukrainian authorities need to pass either a scandalous law, or make a scandalous statement, or commit a provocation at the front. After which Poroshenko once again goes to an international meeting, begs for money out of habit, talks about how Ukraine is suffering, about the fight against corruption, etc.,” the deputy noted.
She also stated that the Verkhovna Rada used the uproar around the law “On Reintegration” to adopt a law “on privatization” that was predatory for the Ukrainian people.
“On the eve of an international meeting, against the backdrop of some kind of scandal, accompanied by a large amount of information garbage, the Verkhovna Rada had to adopt a very unpopular, but so important for the interested parties, law. In this case, in parallel with the law “On Reintegration,” a law on the privatization of state and municipal property was adopted,” Makeeva emphasized.
She is convinced that the privatization law “will bring many, many surprises.”
