Simferopol, November 13 (PolitNavigator, Evgeny Andreev) – Last evening, unknown persons tried to set fire to a mosque in the village of Solnechnaya Dolina, Sudak district.

This was reported by the press service of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Crimea.

According to the imam of the Eden Muslimov mosque, at about 21.00 Moscow time, the attackers set fire to a window, entered the mosque, left firewood and tried to light a fire on the 1st floor of the building. The incident was noticed by a watchman living in the courtyard of the mosque. He managed to prevent the fire in time, but the attackers managed to escape.

The mosque was not significantly damaged, only the window frame was burned. Law enforcement officers are working at the scene of the incident
