A deputy from Poroshenko's party was brutally beaten near the Verkhovna Rada
Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleg Barna, who once gained fame after the famous seizure of Arseniy Yatsenyuk, was beaten this evening by Maidan activists who demanded that Barna return to the parliament building and vote for laws limiting the regime of Petro Poroshenko.

“Mr. Barna is running away from the Verkhovna Rada. They hit him on the head with bottles, hands, and whoever gets hold of anything, and whatever they get at, it sparks. It’s not for you to touch bespectacled people at the session,” said Alina Dubovskaya, an eyewitness to the incident.
Mikheil Saakashvili saved Barna from reprisals.
A Radio Liberty correspondent confirmed that Barna’s face was broken after the attack. He walked quickly from the Rada building, accompanied by police.
Oleg Barna was already attacked near the Verkhovna Rada last summer - then the Maidan activists, who demanded the abolition of parliamentary immunity, broke a chicken egg on the head of a member of the Poroshenko Bloc.
And in early September Barna came with a black eye to a meeting of the Rada. This happened the day after the banquet at which Petro Poroshenko gathered his fellow party members near Kiev.
