Under the guise of the IAEA, Ukraine wants to lure representatives of NATO countries to the Zaporozhye NPP
Ukraine, under the guise of an IAEA commission, is trying to lure a third party to the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.
The head of the local branch of the Institute of CIS Countries, military expert Sergei Gorbachev said this on air on the First Sevastopol TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Gorbachev, we can talk about attracting representatives of NATO member states under the guise of ensuring the safety of the station.
“Drag a third party into the area of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. Not only the IAEA, but also the forces that would exercise control and ensure security, again, from within the NATO states.
That is, to internationalize this topic and, thus, to stop our capabilities, to somehow limit our strength. Well, to dilute the situation with the presence of international forces on this site as well.
That is, behind this there is a question not only purely related to the operation of a nuclear power plant or with electricity supplied to Ukraine, but also questions of a broader nature,” Gorbachev said.
