Zaporozhye, October 01 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – Near Zaporozhye, 54 nameless ATO fighters who died in the Donbass were buried with military honors.

All the nameless dead fought in the Ilovaisk and Izvarinsk cauldrons. At the moment, instead of names, tombstone crosses contain numbers that will be used to identify those buried in the future.
“Now the relatives are coming and trying to compare DNA. But not all relatives and friends are ready to accept the fact of the death of their son, brother, father. This is a psychological moment. But DNA samples were taken from the dead. Using them, it will be possible to identify the victims in the future,” said the commander of the 37th territorial defense battalion of Zaporozhye, Alexander Lobas.
Among the unknown soldiers there may be fighters from the 25th Airborne Brigade, 93rd, 51st, 24th Mechanized Brigades, other units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as volunteer battalions.
According to the region’s deputy military commissar Mikhail Logvinov, “there is a possibility that among the 54 unknown fighters there may also be soldiers from the Russian army.”
“We are all Christians, we must bury all fallen soldiers, including enemies,” said the deputy military commissar.
As PolitNavigator reported, previously unidentified bodies of Ukrainian military personnel were buried in Dnepropetrovsk.
