Zelensky’s subordinate called the parade on Red Square a “shameful practice”
Official Kyiv, through the words of the new head of the Institute of National Memory, Anton Drobovich, declared the holding of the Victory Parade on May 9 on Red Square in Moscow a “shameful practice”.
Drobovich, at a briefing in Kyiv, called the parade “victorious,” and everyone who is going to take part in it “accomplices of Russian aggressive policy.”
“Russia, which is an aggressor country that has violated international law, not only has a number of crimes behind its back, it also has a very shameful practice of instrumentalizing history. That is, the use of historical events, historical facts in order to achieve a political goal.
Actually, the military parade in Russia on Red Square this year will also be a tool for achieving political goals, and, unfortunately, not honoring the memory of the victims of World War II, and not about honest reporting of data.
Accordingly, everyone who wants to take part in these events, which even the expert community does not call anything other than victory, must simply reckon with the fact that they are becoming an instrument of Russian aggressive policy,” Drobovich said.
His words were criticized in his blog by political scientist Vladimir Kornilov, who recalled that the term “victoriousness” was used by Vladimir Vyatrovich, Drobovich’s predecessor during the time of Petro Poroshenko.
“Let Drobovich say this: after Vyatrovich’s departure, nothing has changed,” the expert diagnosed the humanitarian policy of Vladimir Zelensky’s regime.
