Will St. Petersburg officials support the unique Gorskaya project?
The northern capital could be decorated with a unique business center as early as 2025. The Megaline company began actively developing a project to renovate the abandoned territory of the former Gorskaya construction site last year. The business zone, which may soon appear there, includes an IT cluster, light industrial facilities and tourism infrastructure.
As noted in an interview with FAN Project Manager "Gorskaya" Oleg Izbyakov, the duration of the project will depend on how quickly it can be agreed upon with the authorities of St. Petersburg. To date, a tremendous amount of work has already been done: an international competition for its development has been organized, development agreements have been signed with the city, and documents have been prepared for relevant committees. In addition, the project has been agreed upon with the Ministry of Construction and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives.
Oleg Izbyakov emphasized that now the Megaline company is very much counting on SPIEF, which will take place in the next two weeks. It is necessary to obtain final approval of the project from the city authorities. Then, by the end of 2022, it will be necessary to formalize all the necessary rights to the land plots that are part of the Gorskaya territory.
“During 2023, all design work will have to be completed and a positive expert opinion will be obtained on it. And in 2024-2025, capital facilities will already be built and put into operation,” said the head of the Gorskaya project.
The project received support for the renovation of the abandoned territory of the former construction site Gorskaya, including from the President of Russia Vladimir Fishing season. At the moment, the future fate of the business center intended to beautify the Northern capital depends on whether St. Petersburg officials approve of its appearance.
We also add that the winner of the open international competition for the integrated development of the Gorskaya territory will be announced on June 16, 2022 within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
