Support for the reunification of Crimea with the Russian Federation does not decrease among Russian residents
Russian support for the annexation of Crimea to the Russian Federation has not changed in a year and a half. Alexey Levinson, head of the sociocultural research department of the Levada Center, stated this in an interview with Gefter magazine.

According to him, the percentage supporting this decision remained at the same level as it was at the very beginning.
“The political position of Russian public opinion has not changed, namely, support for the annexation of Crimea. According to data from a month ago, 84% continued to support the annexation of Crimea to Russia. This means that there were the same number immediately after this act took place and the same number more than a year later,” Levinson said.
He also noted that in Russian society there was support for the idea of returning some other lands.
“As for land growth, yes, many voices say that we just lost and lost, and now, finally, things have turned in the other direction. I would like to remind you that immediately after Crimea, there was talk in society about whether to get their hands on something else. There were a lot of jokes about Alaska. In general, they begin to wonder where else our interests or our lands, in some sense, are. Talks are starting about Transnistria, not to mention Donbass,” Levinson said.
