“There was a strong snowstorm at night, and all the fresh snow blew onto the road. Now the entrance from Yalta and Bakhchisarai is covered with snow,” said Galina Rublevskaya, head of the control and rescue post on Ai-Petri.
According to her, only prepared SUVs with chains on the tires will be able to drive onto the Ai-Petri plateau.
According to Rublevskaya, two cars left the road at night, so they had to call the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
“As of this morning, the thickness of the snow cover is 12 cm, so you can ski and sled. Yesterday we had over 300 people. The Kichkine lift is working,” noted the head of the post.
The air temperature on Ai-Petri has now dropped to 10 degrees below zero, there is a snowstorm, wind gusts reach 18-20 m/s, visibility is about 400 meters.
