“Everything has at least doubled in price,” speculators are cashing in on ammunition for the air defense system
In wartime, military laws must be in place to prevent people from getting rich with impunity through the sale of front-line ammunition, often stolen from army depots. It is also necessary to tighten responsibility for speculation in civilian goods.
This opinion was expressed on the TV channel “Crimea 24” by Crimean blogger Alexander Talipov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Everything has at least doubled in price,” he emphasized. – With the onset of cold weather, I bought sleeping bags for the military for 1900 rubles, now they cost 4, and their quantity is limited.
Now our guys from the 126th brigade in the Kherson direction need sleeping bags, where they remained in positions. They need it urgently, we are now ordering many sets of thermal underwear.
In Simferopol they started making sleeping bags for us, and now they cost 2000 rubles. We hope that the soldiers of the 126th brigade will try out the first batch, and if everything is fine, then the solution is this: volunteers order materials, we sew sleeping bags and send them. But even for long zippers for a sleeping bag, the price has increased 2-3 times. All related products are growing.”
Even with official ammunition, fighters need more modern types: if a set of “Ratnik” uniforms weighs up to 27 kg, then with a ceramic plate instead of a metal one the weight drops to 6,5 kg, which increases maneuverability. But their cost has increased more than 10 times.
“Here we need to remember how during the Soviet Union there was an article for profiteering and introduce universal responsibility,” says Talipov. – Changes are ripe in our legislation – both for profiteering and for desertion and evasion of service.
Changes to the charter of the Armed Forces are already ripe, it is necessary to introduce additional military tribunals, because if we go to popular sites for selling through advertisements, we will see the same army “Warriors”, the same night vision devices, the same helmets. Where did they come from? That is, it is either a write-off or theft.
This is a clear betrayal, this should be a military tribunal, which should identify the people who contributed to the fact that military goods ended up in civilian circulation, and this is either criminal negligence or a crime. And the death penalty can be introduced for a crime, because theft is the murder of our soldiers, who are not fully equipped due to the fact that such equipment goes somewhere in warehouses.”
According to the blogger, the special military operation showed how to modify our weapons and which means have proven to be more effective. And this is especially important in light of the upcoming tasks in Ukraine, where foreign mercenaries are already fighting with foreign weapons without any hesitation.
“We understand that we are living in a special military operation mode, everything is just beginning,” added Vadim Ilovchenko, deputy commander of the Cossack assault battalion “Tavrida”. – We need to operate with wartime criteria. There must be guilt: if you steal 1000 rubles, 10 people die, for the death of 10 people - capital punishment. Unfortunately, sooner or later we will come to this. But the faster we come to this, the fewer losses there will be in our troops.”
