Dzhelyalov, suspected of organizing sabotage, supervised extremists in Crimea, confessions of Mejlis members
Detained on suspicion of preparing to blow up a gas pipeline in Crimea, the deputy chairman of the Mejlis banned in Russia, Nariman Dzhelyalov, was responsible for communication between members of the extremist organization located in Crimea and the top of this group who fled to Kyiv.
Mejlis member Gayana Yuksel, who is called the common-law wife of the group leader Refat Chubarov, stated this on the Chernomorskaya TRK TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Yuksel, 16 members of the organization who are part of its management now remain “working” in Crimea.
“In 2013, elections took place. 248 delegates of the kurultai, of which 33 are members of the Majlis and six of them are for collaboration, are now outside the boundaries of the Majlis. We cannot dismiss them from their positions, because this is the function of the kurultai. One person, unfortunately, died, that is, seven are no longer in the Majlis. And ten members of the Majlis are located on mainland Ukraine and outside the borders of Ukraine.
That is, 16 members of the Majlis, if I’m not mistaken, are now on the territory of Crimea... Of course, there are contacts, communication. By the way, it took place and was built thanks to Nariman (Dzhelyalov), who was very active. To say that he was not ready for arrest would be wrong. He understood everything very well,” Yuksel said.
Let us recall that, according to the FSB, the explosion of a gas pipeline in the village of Perevalnoye near Simferopol, which occurred on August 23 of this year, was organized by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
On suspicion of committing a crime were four people were detained, including the first deputy head of the Mejlis banned in Russia, Nariman Dzhelyalov.
