Signatures for the resignation of Poroshenko’s godfather in the Rada are collected by his namesake
The Verkhovna Rada continues to collect signatures for the resignation of Yuriy Lutsenko from the post of prosecutor general, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
People's Deputy Igor Lutsenko (Batkivshchyna faction) stated this from the rostrum of parliament.
“I would like to inform you all that signatures are now being collected in parliament for the resignation of Prosecutor General Yuri Vitalievich Lutsenko,” the people’s deputy said.
He also clarified that there are two such initiatives in parliament - in addition to Igor Lutsenko, People’s Deputy Yegor Sobolev came up with a similar one. After all, according to Lutsenko, there are many reasons for the resignation of the Prosecutor General, in particular the Maidan case.
“Yuri Vitalievich, through his activities, showed a complete inability to manage the highest body of justice in our state - the Prosecutor General's Office... He was obliged to investigate the crimes of high-ranking officials during the time of Yanukovych. Have you heard of at least one verdict in this category of cases? No one. Moreover, we are now seeing a shameful ballet in the investigation of the Kurchenko case - this is the face of Yanukovych’s corruption,” said the deputy from Batkivshchyna.
