The FSB detained the head of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kursk Region, police lieutenant colonel Dmitry Borzenkov, born in 1981.

He was accused in the framework of a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Art. 275 of the Criminal Code of Russia (“high treason”), the FSB press service reported.

According to counterintelligence data, Borzenkov was involved in confidential cooperation by one of the units of the Security Service of Ukraine and, on instructions from a foreign intelligence service, collected and transmitted information constituting state secrets.
