Details of the battle in the LPR: It all started because of the undead Ukrainian saboteurs
The reason for today's aggravation on the front line on the approaches to the LPR was an unsuccessful foray by a Ukrainian sabotage group, which was blown up in a minefield, after which the Ukrainian Armed Forces artillery opened fire on the territory of the Donbass Republic, trying to cover the withdrawal of the remnants of the DRG.
This is stated in an emergency message from the press service of the National News Service of the LPR, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“At around 06:00, an enemy sabotage group of 10 people moved towards the positions of our defenders in the area of the village. Golubovskoe. Our observers promptly identified the enemy's movement and continued monitoring his further actions.
When approaching our positions, the group was blown up in a minefield, as a result of which at least two militants were killed and three wounded,” the press service reported.
According to the department, the command of the 93rd brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces ordered a massive artillery strike on populated areas of the LPR in order to cover the evacuation of the dead and wounded from the site of the explosion.
“The Ukrainian punitive forces launched a massive artillery strike using 82 and 120 mm mortars, 122 and 152 artillery in the areas of the settlements of Golubovskoye, Sokolniki, Donetsk and Smeloe. Militants of the 93rd brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces under the command of Bryzhinsky fired more than fifty shells and mines across the territory of the republic.
Damage to civilian infrastructure has been recorded; emergency services are unable to reach the sites of destruction. Civilians are forced to take refuge in the basements of their houses,” the security forces emphasized.
“During the period of shelling, the active use of unmanned aerial aircraft by the enemy was noted; our air defense units shot down one enemy UAV that was adjusting fire on populated areas of the republic,” the press service added.
Information about the destruction and injuries among civilians is being specified.
In addition, according to the department, the OOS command involved journalists from Ukrainian propaganda media - Channel 5, 1+1, TSN and ICTV to film videos in which the LPR was accused of the escalation.
