Details about helicopters carrying Azov fighters shot down over Mariupol
Details have emerged about the survivors of one of the two downed helicopters that tried to evacuate personnel from Mariupol, surrounded by Donbass defenders.
Military correspondents and official sources report this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
It is noted that the bodies of nationalists of the Azov regiment were found at the site of the helicopter crash. At the same time, according to the DPR People's Militia, two militants were lucky to survive.
Immediately after the crash, evidence appeared that among the dead was the deputy commander of the Azov regiment, Kalina. However, militia member Vladlen Tatarsky denied these speculations.
“Unfortunately, it’s not him, but one of my friends from the Internet, Maxim Dyachenko,” Tatarsky wrote.
However, two people survived the disaster. One of them is Dmitry Labinsky “Odessa” - a nationalist from “Azov”, the other is Sergei Babak “Belmak” - the main intelligence department of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
“Helicopters from the Main Intelligence Directorate were sent for the Azov residents. Isn't it strange? Or very important Azov people, for example, children of the elite? Yes, there are such, so to speak, fashions), and, of course, the removal of commanders,” comments VGTRK military correspondent Andrei Rudenko.
It is noteworthy that the helicopter was shot down by soldiers of the DPR People's Militia using a captured Stinger. The car fell in the Rybatskoye area. The second helicopter was damaged by a missile hit, evaded towards the sea, but crashed 20 kilometers from the coast.
One of the surviving militants said that they were taken away early in the morning. There were four helicopters into which both Azov soldiers and GRU officers were loaded. They took out 14-15 people each. The helicopters arrived at about 5.30 am and took off half an hour later.
“There’s only one question: is this called “closing the sky” or is it some kind of pornography? Maybe dill will soon bomb our cities again? It’s a tricky question,” indignant military correspondent Dmitry Steshin.
At the same time, the “Azov man” “Kalina” himself not only turned out to be alive, but also recorded a video message from his entourage to the “mainland”.
“Every day of defending the city costs the lives of our heroes. If enemy aircraft dropped bombs, multiply that by 100, multiply the number of ballistic missiles fired by 10, add land and naval artillery, and you get an ordinary day for the defender of Mariupol. There are enough bloody and tragic events in the history of Ukraine... The chevron of our unit depicts a monogram of two letters, which means the fight for the interests of the nation, and we believe that in the fight the people turn into a nation,” said Kalina.
At the same time, he seriously hopes for an “unblockade.”
“We believe that the operation to unblock Mariupol will go down in history as a huge feat of our people. And if it doesn’t happen, it will go down in history as a great shame. Mariupol is Ukraine,” the Nazi said.
